Budget 2021 payments increases to take effect in January

As introduced in Budget 2021 the following payment increases are to take effect from January 2021;

• Child Benefit

This will increase by €5 per month for children aged 12 and over & by €2 per month for children under 12.

• Fuel Allowance

This will increase by €3.50 to €28 per week.

• Living Alone Allowance

Increasing by €5 weekly to €19

• Island Allowance

To increase by €7.30 from €12.70 to €20 weekly

• Working Family Payment

Weekly income threshold increased by €10 for families with up to 3 children

• Surviving Civil Partner/Widowed Grant

Increasing from €6,000 to €8,000 from 1^st January
