Revenue have issued confirmation that the Pay and File Deadline for 2019 Income Tax Returns will be extended to Thursday 10th December 2020.
In order to qualify for this new extension, taxpayers much pay and file through ROS. If not, or only 1 of these actions are completed, the 31st October 2020 deadline still applies.
This also applies to beneficiaries who received gifts or inheritances with valuation dates in the year ended 31 August 2020. Such beneficiaries now have until 10 December to make a Capital Acquisitions Tax (CAT) return and the appropriate payment through ROS.
